Investable theme: energy transition, clean energy, technology, cryptoassets
We have seen structural breaks in the way the world works many times before, but the new millennium has brought with it a perfect storm. The world is going through transition, and it is multi-faceted. Three transitions will dominate the next decade:
1. The energy transition
2. The money transition
3. The technological revolution
As important as positioning yourself for the transitions themselves is continually recognising that we are indeed in a multi-decade, multi-faceted global transition. Things are not as they were, nor what they will be. Traditional models of economics, investment, and capitalism will need to be re-written, to make sense of the new world.
What about the social transition? There isn’t one. Social change is one of the three reckonings. A transition is like the construction of a building; a reckoning is like a glacier biding its time until sudden and catastrophic collapse on those who built their houses in the valley.
